Waste is any unwanted or unuseful material. These are objects that have been discarded since these materials are'nt functioning anymore. Waste can be in any form , although generally, waste is solid. There are various types of wastes like unwanted food , torn clothes, kitchen waste, etc.
Agricultural waste is waste produced as a result of various agricultural operations. It includes manure and other wastes from farms, poultry houses and slaughterhouses, harvest waste, fertilizer run off from fields, pesticides that enter into water, air or soils, and salt and slit drained from fields.
Agricultural wastes that flow directly into surface waters are typically high in nutrients (phosphorus and nitrogen), biodegradable organic carbon, pesticide residues, and fecal coliform bacteria (bacteria that normally live in the intestinal tract of warm-blooded animals and indicate contamination by animal wastes). Feedlots where large numbers of animals are contained into relatively small pens provide an efficient way to raise animals for food.
Disposal of agricultural waste, is, in many cases similar to regular waste disposal methods. As in, solid materials are often sent to landfills or incineration. However, this can obviously have a negative effect on the planet - something which those who work within agriculture are likely to be particularly passionate about. In fact, the future of farming relies on taking care of the planet. Fortunately, there are other methods of agricultural waste disposal, such as composting and recycling which can be implemented to help protect the environment.
For example, organic fertilizers can be used again and again, and animal waste(faeces) can be used in composting. Both of which will allow agricultural to thrive.
